Learning Support Assistant – SEN School (Complex Needs) Chichester | £13.75/hour (Paid weekly via PAYE) | Start ASAP | Full-time or Part-time | Term Time Only Contract: Long-term with potential to become permanent Are you a caring, resilient, and enthusiastic individual looking to support children and young people with complex needs? Teaching Personnel are working closely with a well-established SEN school in the Chichester area that supports pupils aged 2 to 19 years with a range of complex learning needs. The school provides a nurturing, inclusive environment where every student is encouraged to achieve their personal best. About the Role: We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work closely with students across various age groups and abilities. You will support pupils in the classroom and during intervention activities, helping them to access learning, develop key life skills, and build confidence and independence. The role may involve one-to-one or small group support, personal care, and implementing behaviour or communication strategies tailored to individual needs. Pupils May Have: Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) Sensory and/or physical disabilities Complex medical or care needs Ideal Candidate: Experience working with children or young people with SEN/complex needs (in education, care, or support roles) Calm, patient, and empathetic Comfortable with personal care and manual handling (training provided if needed) Flexible, reliable, and team-oriented Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing What Teaching Personnel Offer: Weekly pay through our PAYE system – no umbrella fees Dedicated consultant support throughout your placement Access to a wide range of CPD and training (e.g., Team Teach, Autism Awareness, Moving & Handling) Opportunities for long-term and permanent roles A deeply rewarding position where you’ll make a lasting impact All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
