Learning Support Assistant - Chesham, Buckinghamshire Are you passionate about making a genuine difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs? Chesham, Buckinghamshire based Secondary School seeks an inspiring and inclusive Learning Support Assistant! About the Role - Learning Support Assistant Key Responsibilities: Supporting students with SEN in 1:1, small group intervention and whole class settings. Supervising the SEN provision area where required, ensuring it remains a safe and engaging environment. Developing and delivering learning adapted/tailored to individual needs. Assisting in assessment and providing constructive feedback to lead teaching staff. Liaising with teachers, SEN specialists and external professionals. Supporting after-school literacy and numeracy support sessions for targeted students. Implementing target plans (IEP/EHCP) to support pupil progress and engagement. What We're Looking For.. The ideal Learning Support Assistant will have: Experience working with SEN children and young people. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of safeguarding and the Keeping Children Safe in Education framework. A proactive, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting young people. Fully Enhanced DBS Checked, with Update Service subscription (or happy to apply). Full Employment and Education History (with 2 suitable references).
