We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Learning Support Assistant to join one of our welcoming schools in Southend-on-Sea. If you’re calm under pressure, passionate about inclusion, and ready to support pupils in reaching their potential, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing
Support: Provide 1:1 assistance to pupils with special educational needs, helping them to engage confidently in lessons.
Assist: Work alongside teachers to deliver tailored learning plans and personalised support strategies.
Engage: Encourage participation and celebrate progress—big or small.
Manage: Respond to challenging behaviour with positivity, empathy, and effective strategies.
Communicate: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and professionals to track and support each child’s development.
Nurture: Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where every pupil feels valued.

What we’re looking for
Experience working with pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
A patient, understanding, and proactive attitude
The right to work in the UK
A valid DBS or willingness to apply for one
A good understanding of diverse learning styles
