Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School - Southwark
Start: Immediate | Full-Time | Long-Term | PAYE | Competitive Pay
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream secondary school in Southwark. This is a full-time, long-term role starting immediately, offering the opportunity to make a real difference to students' learning and development.
In this rewarding position, you will support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)-both in class and through targeted small-group interventions. Working closely with teachers and SEN staff, you'll help adapt lessons, implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and ensure every student can thrive in an inclusive learning environment.
What we're looking for:
Experience working with children or young people (school-based or similar)
Knowledge or experience of supporting students with SEND
A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Strong communication skills, patience, and a proactive approach
