Role: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Greenwich - near Charlton Station
Start Date: Monday 17th November 2025
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Salary: £90-£105 per day (depending on experience)
About the Role
We're looking for a caring and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Greenwich, located within easy reach of Charlton Station. This long-term position starts on Monday 17th November and will run until the end of the academic year.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will be working closely with a small group of pupils in Key Stage 2, supporting their social, emotional, and academic development. You'll help to implement tailored learning plans, provide one-to-one support, and encourage positive engagement across all areas of school life.
Key Responsibilities
Provide in-class and small-group support to pupils with additional learning needs.
Help to maintain focus, motivation, and positive behaviour.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt activities where necessary.
Encourage independence, confidence, and resilience in learning.
Candidate Requirements
Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or similar role within a primary setting.
A calm, empathetic, and flexible approach to working with children.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
