Experienced Teaching Assistant
Location: Southampton
Contract Type: Full-time, December 2025- July 2026 (Potential to go permanent)
Pay: £82 – £92 per day
Start Date: December 2025
Are you passionate about helping young minds grow?
We are on the lookout for a dedicated, resilient and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a larger than average Primary School. You’ll be working across the primary age range (Year R to Year6), providing targeted support to small groups of pupils and occasionally offering 1:1 support for children with additional needs including ASC, ADHD, SEMH and more.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience working in a school setting
A CACHE Level 2 qualification (desirable)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A nurturing, positive approach with a passion for supporting children’s learning
The ability to adapt and respond to individual pupil needs
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and supportive learning experiences
Work across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
Provide 1:1 or small group support for children with additional needs
Promote positive behaviour and encourage children to reach their full potential
Work collaboratively with class teachers and other staff
Be actively involved in wider school life, including events and enrichment activities
