Job Title: Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant

Location: Derby (DE24)

Start Date: May 2026

Salary: £14.25 - £16 per hour

TeacherActive is excited to be working with a wonderful and well-known school based in Derby (DE24). The nursery promotes a family atmosphere, where each person is actively encouraged to show care and interest in the welfare of others.

The school is looking to take on a part-time Level 3 Childcare / Early Years Assistant who has experienced working with nursery children with a wide range of needs. The successful applicant must possess a calm and caring approach to each child and create a positive learning atmosphere.

The successful Early Years Practitioner will have:

A Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (required)
Extensive experience supporting children in Nurseries / EYFS
Experienced with high SEND needs
First Aid Qualification (preferred)
Driving License (preferred)
Skills in managing behaviour
A positive and motivating approach to children
Flexible to cover 8am – 4pm
