Learning Support Assistant – Ealing
Location: Ealing, West London

Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive school in Ealing. The school prides itself on providing a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential, regardless of their individual needs. Staff work collaboratively to create a positive learning culture, and the wellbeing of both pupils and staff is a key priority.
The school is looking for a proactive and compassionate individual who has previous experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful candidate will be confident building positive relationships with pupils, adapting learning activities to meet individual needs, and supporting children both academically and emotionally throughout the school day.
The Role:
* Provide tailored support to pupils with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and engage in learning activities
* Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement individual support strategies
* Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small group interventions
* Assist with the delivery of personalised learning programmes and targeted interventions
* Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social development
* Adapt resources and learning activities to meet individual learning needs
* Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff where appropriate
* Support pupils in developing confidence, independence, and essential life skills
* Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
What the School is Looking For:
* Previous experience working with pupils with SEN is essential
* Experience supporting pupils with needs such as ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social, emotional, and mental health needs is highly desirable
* A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach to supporting children
* Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
* A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
