Full-Time Learning Support Assistant - Early Years | New Addington CR0 | Catholic Primary School 🙏
A nurturing and welcoming Catholic primary school in New Addington (CR0) is seeking a compassionate and committed Learning Support Assistant to join their Early Years team on a full-time, long-term basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a mainstream setting, supporting young children with their early development and learning journey.
📌 Role Overview:
Position: Learning Support Assistant - Early Years (Nursery/Reception)
Start Date: ASAP or September 2025
Contract Type: Full Time, Long Term
Location: New Addington, Croydon Borough
School Type: Mainstream Catholic Primary School
🌟 Key Responsibilities:
Provide general and targeted support to children in Early Years, both 1:1 and in small groups
Assist with phonics, play-based learning, and personal development activities
Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that reflects the school's Catholic values
Help with personal care and support routines where needed
Collaborate closely with class teachers and SENCO to monitor and support individual progress
👤 Ideal Candidate:
Experience working in Early Years and understanding of the EYFS Framework
A kind, calm, and patient approach with a passion for supporting young learners
Comfortable working in a faith-based setting (practising Catholic not essential)
SEN experience or willingness to support children with additional needs
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
💰 Pay: £85-£100 per day (depending on experience)
📍 Nearest stations: Good local transport links and parking available
