Full-Time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Secondary School in Basingstoke, Hampshire!

If so, GSL Education are seeking a committed and enthusiastic full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming secondary school in Basingstoke, Hampshire. This fulfilling role offers a competitive annual salary between £18,500 to £20,500 and is set to start ASAP, from September 2025, or following the successful candidate’s notice period.
Responsibilities of the Learning Support Assistant (LSA):
Work closely with class teachers to support students in their learning.
Deliver small group interventions and provide one-to-one support where needed.
Assist students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring their individual needs are met.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment across the school.
Support students’ academic and emotional development with patience and resilience.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events.
Requirements of the Learning Support Assistant (LSA):
Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting, or transferable skills from roles such as youth work, social work, or pastoral care.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A resilient, adaptable, and caring nature.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
