GSL Education are on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our dynamic secondary school in Fareham. This full-time role offers a competitive annual salary of £18,500 to £20,500 (depending on experience), with the exciting potential for a permanent contract following a successful probation period. The position is due to start ASAP, from September 2025, or whenever the successful candidate’s notice period has been completed. About the Role Step into a role where every day brings new opportunities to inspire and support. As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) in Fareham, you’ll work closely with the class teacher to ensure every student thrives. Your responsibilities will include: Lesson Support: Assist in preparing and delivering engaging lesson materials and activities. Targeted Interventions: Lead small group sessions and one-on-one support to help students overcome learning barriers. Inclusive Learning: Support students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) across the school, promoting resilience and independence. Positive Environment: Encourage positive behaviour and model respectful, inclusive interactions. Progress Monitoring: Track student development and contribute to intervention strategies. Collaborative Teamwork: Work hand-in-hand with teachers, parents, and specialists to build a strong support network. What We’re Looking For Experience working with students with additional needs or in a similar educational support role. A genuine passion for helping young people succeed. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A collaborative spirit and a proactive attitude. Relevant qualifications or training in education are advantageous.
