Learning Support Assistant - Hemel Hempstead
🕗 Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Term Time Only)
📍 Location: Hemel Hempstead
📅 Start Date: September 2025
We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive school in Hemel Hempstead. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and managing challenging behaviour in a positive and proactive way.
🎯 Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of SEN
Assist in managing and de-escalating behavioural challenges
Support class teachers in delivering a nurturing and structured learning environment
Encourage and promote independence and confidence in all learners
✅ Essential Requirements:
SEN experience in a school or similar setting
Behaviour management experience
A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
Able to provide a minimum of 2 professional references
Reliable, patient, and able to remain calm under pressure

Confident in building relationships with students, staff, and families
