Learning Support Assistant - Year 4 | Autism & Behaviour Needs
Location: South East London
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full Time | Long Term
Year Group: Year 4
Focus: Autism & Challenging Behaviour
Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated and resilient Learning Support Assistant to support a pupil in Year 4 with Autism and challenging behaviour, starting September 2025 on a full-time, long-term basis.
The Role:
1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with a diagnosis of ASD and behavioural needs
Assisting with emotional regulation and social interaction
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
Helping implement strategies and structured routines to promote engagement and progress
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Experience supporting children with ASD and behavioural challenges
Calm, patient and confident under pressure
Knowledge of behaviour support strategies such as de-escalation and reward systems
Passionate about making a positive difference in a child's school life
Team player with a proactive and reflective approach
