Learning Support Assistant - Life Skills & Preparation for Adulthood (SEND) 📍 Wycombe Area | 💼 Term Time Only (37 hours/week, 38 weeks/year) | 📅 Permanent Are you motivated, compassionate, and committed to empowering young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to build confidence, independence, and essential life skills? On behalf of a thriving college in the Wycombe area, we're seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their dedicated Foundation Learning team, supporting young people-primarily with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)-as they develop the skills they need for adult life. This is a term-time only position working 37 hours per week across 38 weeks per year, perfect for those looking to make a meaningful impact within a flexible working structure. 🌟 About the Role: As an LSA, you will support learners aged 16-25 with SEND across classroom activities and real-world experiences. You'll help them gain confidence in areas such as: Communication and social interaction Travel training and community access Timekeeping and money management Personal care routines (where appropriate) Employability and independence You'll also assist with small group outings into the local community-trips to museums, parks, or local shops that form part of a rich and engaging life skills curriculum. ✅ What We're Looking For: A genuine passion for supporting young people with SEND, particularly those with ASD Patience, positivity, and a proactive attitude Experience working in education or care settings is a plus, but not essential A team player who is committed to learner wellbeing and development 💼 What's in It for You?
