About the School
This nurturing and inclusive SEMH school supports students aged 5–16 with a range of emotional and behavioural needs. With a strong focus on personalised learning and emotional wellbeing, the school provides a therapeutic and structured environment where every child is supported to thrive.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
Support pupils with SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom
Build trusting, positive relationships with students
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff
Help deliver engaging, adapted learning activities
Provide emotional and behavioural support throughout the school day
✅ The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (SEMH, SEND, challenging behaviour, etc.)
A calm, non-judgemental, and proactive attitude
Strong behaviour management skills
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare
An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
