At Masterclass, we have been tasked in recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant for an amazing school in Arundel. They provide a safe environment where the children can thrive in their education. They have a colourful, well-equipped outdoor area to expand the children’s learning outside the classroom setting.
The successful candidate will need to have the skill to develop into a valued member of staff for the individual needs of the children. You will be working with small groups of students in and out of formal lessons, with support from Teachers and other staff but also be required to work with a child one to one who may require additional support. You will be fully immersed into the life of the school and encouraged to be proactive in your role alongside your colleagues.
Masterclass Education provide online training, covering subjects such as Autism Awareness, Understanding Child Development, Violence Reduction, and more, to all of their candidates.
Job role:
* To support the children’s development across all areas of their development
* Support and encourage positive behaviour management
* Work with groups of children or individuals (1-1) to support the class teacher in specific lessons.
* Ensure a safe and secure environment enabling children to feel relaxed and happy
* To establish positive relationships with the children and staff within the school
* To be committed to inclusive practice and making sure every child has the chance to be the best they can be
* To be able to provide personal care if needed
