GSL Education are currently seeking a committed and nurturing Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist school in Bournemouth. In this role, you will provide in-class and individualised support to students with moderate to severe learning difficulties. You will play an active part in their daily learning, therapy, and wellbeing routines while promoting engagement, independence, and progress. Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Responsibilities: Support students in a classroom setting, providing tailored academic and emotional support. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff. Help with personal care and mobility needs when required. Foster a safe, supportive, and respectful learning environment. Skills & Requirements for Learning Support Assistant (LSA): Experience supporting children or young people with additional learning needs. CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare, Education, or Health & Social Care is desirable. A patient, understanding, and flexible attitude. Strong communication and teamworking skills. Sound knowledge of safeguarding and child protection principles. To thrive in a Learning Support Assistant role, you should: Have the right to work in the UK. Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years. Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
