SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Secondary Schools - Cheshire East - Start ASAP Location: Cheshire East Start Date: ASAP Salary: £90-£100 per day (depending on experience) Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term Agency: Tradewind Recruitment Are you a passionate and patient individual with a strong desire to support young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Are you looking for a rewarding role within a supportive secondary school environment in Cheshire East? Tradewind Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a number of welcoming and inclusive secondary schools across Cheshire East, who are seeking dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistants to join their teams immediately. About the Role: As a SEND Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with classroom teachers and the school's SENCo to provide tailored support to students with a range of needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH). Your role will involve both one-to-one and small group support, helping students access the curriculum and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Supporting students with SEND in class and during intervention sessions Promoting positive behaviour and inclusion within the classroom Working closely with teaching staff and external professionals to implement individual education plans (IEPs) Assisting with personal care and mobility, if required Monitoring student progress and feeding back to relevant staff Requirements: Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND (in school, care or youth work settings) A patient, empathetic and resilient attitude Good literacy and numeracy skills A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) Availability to start ASAP and commit to full-time work This is an ideal opportunity for graduates considering a future in teaching, psychology or youth work, or experienced support staff looking to make a positive impact in secondary education.
