Learning Support Assistant – Primary School Full-Time | Long-Term | September 2025 Start Location: Rickmansworth Supply Desk is delighted to be partnering with a welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Rickmansworth, currently seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis starting in September. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young learners, particularly those with additional needs, as they begin their educational journey. If you're enthusiastic, caring, and committed to helping children thrive, we’d love to hear from you. About the Role: You’ll support pupils across Key Stage 1, working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to provide targeted academic and emotional support tailored to individual needs. Key Responsibilities: Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions in literacy, numeracy, and emotional development Assist in implementing and reviewing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) Support positive behaviour and engagement strategies in the classroom Develop nurturing relationships with pupils and staff Adapt learning materials to meet diverse learning needs Track and report pupil progress to the class teacher Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment What We’re Looking For: Experience working with children, ideally in a primary school or classroom setting A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude Strong teamwork and communication skills A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) What Supply Desk Offers: A long-term role in a supportive and well-organised school Competitive daily pay: £85–£100, depending on experience Ongoing training and professional development opportunities A dedicated consultant to guide and support you Opportunities to progress into permanent positions Access to wellbeing and mental health resources Term-time only schedule with school holidays off Interested?
