Job Description
Reeson Education is working with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Putney seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil with Autism (ASD) who is non-verbal. This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September 2025.
The Role:
Providing individualised support to a non-verbal child in Year 2
Assisting with communication using visual aids, PECS, or other alternative methods
Supporting the child's emotional, sensory and learning needs
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external specialists
Ideal Candidate:
Experience supporting children with ASD and communication difficulties
Familiarity with PECS, Makaton, or other non-verbal strategies is a bonus
Calm, patient and nurturing with a genuine passion for supporting SEN pupils
Strong teamwork and communication skills
