Learning Support Assistant - Northampton Location: Northampton Start Date: September 2025 Contract: Full-Time - Long-Term or Permanent Salary: £90 -£120 per day (Depending on Experience and Role) Are you a caring, patient, and enthusiastic individual looking to make a difference in a school setting? Would you like to support young learners in Northampton to reach their full potential-academically, socially, and emotionally? We are working in partnership with a number of inclusive and well-regarded secondary schools in Northampton who are seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join their teams from September 2025. These full-time positions are ideal for individuals with a passion for education and supporting students with additional needs. Role Overview: Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with special educational needs (SEN), including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and SEMH Assist teachers in delivering lesson content and adapting materials to meet individual learning needs Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement within the classroom Build strong, supportive relationships with students, encouraging confidence and independence Work closely with SENCOs, teaching staff, and external professionals to ensure consistent and effective support Help to track progress and contribute to the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) Who We're Looking For: Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with additional needs (preferred but not essential) Calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting students Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly A team player who is flexible and willing to adapt to the needs of the class and school A genuine interest in education, child development, or SEN Relevant qualifications or training (e.g. CACHE, TA qualification, psychology degree) are advantageous but not essential Why Apply?
