A secondary school located towards the east side of Manchester (close to Longsight, Ardwick, Beswick, Droylsden, Gorton) is looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) starting with them in September. Please highlight your availability on your application. The school is ideally looking to take on a Learning Support Assistant who has previous experience in supporting within a secondary school setting or similar. The successful Learning Support Assistant will be supporting students in year 8 – 11 with a variety of support including intervention in the core subjects. The school is therefore looking for a Learning Support Assistant who is confident in working with young people of all ages and is adaptable in their approach. Key aspects of the LSA role: Full time Learning Support Assistant required: former experience within a school environment ideal Pay range dependent upon experience and qualification: up to £1800 per month Provide support and potential for intervention to year 8 - 11s in the main with opportunity to support a variety of students as required Brand new build and reputable school with a diverse cohort of students LSA required for the remainder of the academic year; opportunity to progress onto a school-based contract (start in September as soon as possible) The school have advised that they are looking for a Learning Support Assistant on a full time basis who is available 5 days per week starting in September. For the right candidate with specific school based experience, there is the opportunity to start in January so please highlight when you are available from, on your application. Given the varying nature of this position, there will be opportunity to support lower ability students in year 8, 9, 10 and 11 moving onto the higher ability students in advance of Christmas/March time of 2026. The school is located towards the East side of Manchester close to the city centre which has fantastic public transport links.
