Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School - Hackney
Start date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time (term-time only), long-term
Location: Hackney
Pay: £95-£110 per day (depending on experience)

A secondary school in Hackney is seeking a compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support students across KS3 and KS4 who require additional help to achieve their academic potential.
About the role:
Working closely with students who have special educational needs (SEN), including those with autism, dyslexia, and ADHD
Providing in-class support, as well as delivering small group and one-to-one interventions
Collaborating with teachers and the SENCO to adapt resources and learning activities
Monitoring student progress and offering feedback to support academic and personal development
Promoting student independence and confidence inside and outside the classroomAbout you:
Previous experience supporting young people in a school, tuition or youth work setting
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Patient, resilient, and proactive with a genuine interest in education
Able to work independently as well as part of a wider team
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)Why join this school?
