We’re working with a welcoming Chesterfield secondary school seeking a committed Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September, on a full-time, ongoing basis.
What you’ll be doing:
Providing one-to-one and small group support for students with additional needs
Assisting in the delivery of engaging lessons alongside teaching staff
Supporting students with learning, emotional, and behavioural challenges
Helping to create an inclusive, nurturing learning environment
Encouraging student independence, confidence, and progress
What we’re looking for:
Experience working with children or young people (in school, youth work, or similar)
A calm, patient, and resilient attitude
Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
A genuine interest in supporting young people with a range of needs
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
Desirable but not essential:
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE, Level 2/3 TA, SEN training)
Own transport or good access to Chesterfield schools
