Learning Support Assistant - Lambeth Primary School (Near Vauxhall Station)
Location: Lambeth, South London - Close to Vauxhall Station
Start Date: September 2025
Position: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Year Group: Year 4
Pay: £85-£100 per day (dependent on experience)
An inclusive and welcoming primary school in the heart of Lambeth is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September 2025. This rewarding role involves providing one-to-one support for a Year 4 pupil with learning difficulties, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their potential.
Learning Support Assistant - The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to support a child with additional learning needs. Your role will include adapting learning materials, encouraging participation, and ensuring the pupil feels confident and included in classroom activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the student in all areas of learning, helping them remain focused and engaged
Modifying classroom resources to suit the child's needs
Delivering one-to-one and small group learning sessions
Promoting the pupil's independence and confidence
Monitoring and recording progress to support future planning
Working in line with the pupil's Individual Education Plan (IEP)
What We're Looking For:
Experience supporting children with additional learning needs (in or out of a school setting)
A calm, patient, and empathetic nature
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
