TeacherActive is proud to be recruiting for a KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in central Bristol. This role is perfect for someone who is confident, reliable, and nurturing, with the ability to support pupils across Years 3–6 depending on experience.

What You’ll Need:
A calm, consistent, and proactive approach to support
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Confidence supporting pupils with literacy, numeracy, and topic-based learning
A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
Previous school or youth-focused experience is desirable
Your Role Will Include:
Supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery and daily routines
Running small group interventions in maths, reading, and wider curriculum areas
Providing targeted support for pupils needing additional guidance or confidence boosts
Encouraging engagement through discussion, visual resources, and practical activities
Building strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families
Flexibility to work part-time or full-time depending on your availability
