Learning Support Assistant - Uxbridge Support young people to reach their full potential in a specialist SEN school Are you passionate about helping young people succeed? We're looking for a compassionate, enthusiastic, and resilient Learning Support Assistant to join our dedicated team at a specialist SEN school in Uxbridge. This role gives you the chance to support learners aged 16 and above with a range of additional needs in a nurturing, therapy-led environment, helping them build independence, confidence, and life skills. Your role will include: Delivering tailored 1:1 and small group support for students with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social-emotional challenges. Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every student can thrive. Supporting learners in developing life skills, social confidence, and independence, celebrating progress at every step. Assisting teachers with lesson delivery, learning resources, and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere. Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and families to set goals, track progress, and celebrate achievements. Acting as a positive role model, demonstrating patience, empathy, and encouragement. What we're looking for: A caring, resilient individual passionate about supporting young people. Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families. A flexible, team-oriented approach with energy and positivity. Previous experience in SEN, education, or youth work is desirable, but enthusiasm and the right attitude matter most.
