About the role – Learning Support Assistant
I am currently working with this mainstream secondary school who are looking for an experienced learning support assistant to support students across the school as soon as possible. The successful learning support assistant will be responsible of supporting SEND students in the class and also on a 1:1 capacity with general wellbeing and development. The candidate will ideally have experience working in a mainstream or SEN setting where they would have dealt with ASD, ADHD or SEMH students. The ideal learning support assistant will bring positive energy to the SEN department, working closely with the SENCO and other members of the learning support team.

This same sex secondary school caters to students aged 11 to 18 local to the borough of Redbridge. The school currently supports a total of 775 Girls across years 7 to 11 with a total of roughly 120 students per year group. With their most recent Ofsted back in October 2018 being graded Good, the headteacher is keen to continue supporting the community built that is committed to success. The school is known in the local area for their sense of community and the purposeful working atmosphere in which all are expected to do their best. Pupils are described as welcoming, engaging and articulate.
