Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant - Tonbridge, Kent - September 2025 - Secondary School
Full Time position
£85 - £95 / day.
Tunbridge Wells, Kent area.A secondary school in the Tonbridge, Kent area with a great reputation is seeking several Learning Support Assistants to start working in between September 2025 and December 2025. The school offers fantastic opportunities to progress and experience new types of roles. Previously Learning Support Assistants have been given the opportunity to work as a cover supervisor and potentially enrol on teacher training programmes.
The school are looking for motivated and proactive LSAs/TAs to work alongside students that have ASD (autism spectrum disorder), as well as those that require assistance with reading and writing. You will be working either 1:1 with pupils or in small groups, alongside other TAs/LSAs.
You will be working in a secondary school so the main subjects that students require assistance with are Maths and English up to KS4 (GCSE).
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will;
Hold a degree in a core subject (Maths, English, Science) or Social Science (Psychology, Sociology) - this is advantageous but not essential.
Experience supporting pupils one-to-one or in small groups, fostering learning and independence.
Experience assisting with classroom management and create a calm, supportive environment.
Be able to tailored resources and support communication and social skills development.
