Inclusion & Wellbeing Learning Support Assistant - Cardiff & Surrounding Areas
Secondary Settings
We are seeking an Inclusion & Wellbeing Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join secondary schools across Cardiff and nearby areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to assist students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, helping them to achieve their potential in both academic and personal development.
The Role:
Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs in a classroom setting
Delivering 1:1 and small group wellbeing interventions
Assisting teachers with behaviour management strategies and inclusive practices
Encouraging positive engagement and supporting de-escalation where required
Promoting resilience, emotional wellbeing, and personal growth among students
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience working with young people with additional needs, ideally in an education setting
Knowledge of behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting learners
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
