Learning Support Assistant | Havering, East London | Primary School | ASAP Start
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming primary school in Havering, East London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting young learners, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism, learning difficulties, and speech & language needs.
Position Details:
Role: Learning Support Assistant
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Havering, East London
Salary: £95 - £115 per day
Contract: Temp to Perm
Setting: Primary SchoolResponsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, helping them to engage in learning.
Assist the class teacher in adapting activities and materials to meet students' needs.
Encourage and support pupils in developing their confidence, independence, and social skills.
Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents where necessary.
Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.Requirements:
Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school or SEN setting.
Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN), such as ASD, speech & language difficulties, or learning disabilities.
A valid DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
A passion for education and a positive, proactive approach to supporting young learners.This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a supportive and well-resourced primary school, with the potential for a long-term career in education.
