About the Role:
A SEND college in Harrow is seeking a dedicated Support Worker/Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to help students with special educational needs and disabilities thrive. If you have experience in healthcare and a genuine passion for supporting young people, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. You will play a key role in assisting with students’ learning, personal care, and emotional support within a caring and safe setting.
Main Duties:
• Deliver 1:1 or small group support tailored to students with SEND.
• Provide assistance with personal care, including manual handling and peg feeding.
• Help manage challenging behaviours effectively.
• Work closely with teachers to ensure each student’s individual needs are met.
What We’re Looking For:
• An enhanced DBS check for both child and adult care.
• Previous experience in healthcare or a similar care setting is desirable.
• Training or qualifications in manual handling behaviour management.
