Your Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll play a key part in crafting a positive and personalised learning journey for every student. Working closely with teachers and fellow support staff, you’ll help create a classroom culture that prioritises progress, independence, and emotional wellbeing alongside academic growth.
Day-to-day, you will:
Deliver tailored support to individual pupils or small groups.
Assist with engaging educational activities that promote focus, understanding, and confidence.
Help foster a space where every student feels seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.
About the School:
An independent school for young adults aged 14–25, all of whom have a Statement of Special Educational Need or an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Visual/hearing impairments
Behavioural challenges

About You:
We’re seeking someone with a big heart, a calm presence, and a genuine passion for making a difference.
You’ll need:
At least 1 year’s experience in a SEND setting, or equivalent personal experience supporting individuals with additional needs.
A relevant qualification, such as in Health & Social Care or the Children and Young People’s Workforce.
Suitable references and either a current DBS on the update service — or a willingness to obtain one.
