Are you a passionate and reliable Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in primary education?
Would you like the flexibility to work across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, providing either 1:1 support or general classroom assistance?
Supply Desk is currently working with a range of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across Sittingbourne and the wider Swale area. These schools are committed to providing nurturing, supportive learning environments where every child is encouraged to thrive—especially those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
We are looking for enthusiastic and approachable Teaching Assistants to join our network for both short-term and long-term placements, starting ASAP or in line with your availability.
Your Key Responsibilities May Include:
Supporting students on a 1:1 basis, particularly those with SEND or SEMH needs.
Assisting in delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
Working closely with teachers to differentiate learning and manage the classroom effectively.
Leading or supporting small group interventions focusing on literacy, numeracy, or social skills.
Promoting emotional well-being and using positive behaviour strategies in line with school policies.
Creating a safe, inclusive environment where children feel supported and valued.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children in a school or educational setting – especially within SEND/SEMH support.
Confidence supporting children across different year groups and abilities.
A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach to learning support.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A genuine passion for helping children succeed academically and emotionally.
