Job Title: Learning Support Mentor - Primary School (Year 2 Pupil)
Location: Tiverton, Devon
Salary: £95-£113 per day (depending on pay type)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only 08.30 - 15.30
Start Date: ASAP
Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a Learning Support Mentor to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Tiverton. This role involves working 1:1 with a Year 2 pupil, providing tailored support to help them engage with learning and manage emotional and behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil
Assist with classroom activities and emotional regulation
Implement strategies to support learning and behaviour
Liaise with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in a support or mentoring role
Knowledge of SEN and behaviour management techniques
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A genuine passion for supporting children's development
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
Right to work in the UK
Relevant experience or qualifications in education, childcare, or support work
