Job Description

Job Title: Lecturer – Electrical Installations Hours: 37 Hours Mon to Fri – Full Time, Permanent Salary: £28,385 - £41,782 (DOE and Qualifications) Teachers Pension Location: Cambridge Herts Resourcing Group (HRG) is working with a college in Cambridge and we’re actively looking for Lecturer in Electrical Installations to join their team. The successful candidate will need to have relevant industry experience in the Construction sector and be able to demonstrate in depth subject knowledge with at least a Level 3 vocational qualification in Electrical Installations. We are seeking an interpersonal and self-motivated candidate with Electrical Installations industry experience to join the Department of Construction. This exciting role will involve the design and delivery of the Electrical Installations courses to a wide range of learners, in both practical and theoretical settings. The job role will also include contributing to the continued development of the department, providing tutorial support for learners, and carrying out the associated administrative tasks connected with the post. What You’ll Do (including but not limited to): * Deliver inspirational teaching and access to learning across a range of programmes, and to learners with a range of ages and abilities * Act as a course tutor with responsibility for supporting learners in achieving their targets * Assist in the recruitment and admission of new students * Attend both internal and external promotional events to publicise College and Department activities as directed by the Head of Department * Respond to curriculum development and new course initiatives originating from within the Department/College * Develop industrial links with other professionals within the industry * Maintain personal research or professional practice in own specialist area for own personal You Must Have: * Electrical Installations qualifications to at least Advanced Craft/NVQ level 3 * Substantial, recent and relevant industrial experience * Recent experience of Lecturing or training others in the workplace * Current Health & safety knowledge for the industry * Enhanced DBS disclosure check deemed acceptable to the college What we’re looking for: * Certificate in Education/PGCE/ DTLLS * Assessor qualifications A1 or equivalent * Internal Verification qualification V1 or equivalent * In-depth knowledge of the current Electrical Installations curriculum requirements.
