Lecturer in Motor Vehicle
Location: Rotherham
Salary: Dependent on Experience
Hours: Full Time (37 hours/week)
Contract: Temporary until January 2026 with the potential to go on longer
Our client is seeking a passionate and experienced automotive professional to inspire the next generation. Whether you're looking to trade your tools for teaching or already have classroom experience, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact.
You'll deliver dynamic teaching across Levels 1–3 in workshop and classroom settings, with a focus on service, maintenance, hybrid and electric vehicles. You’ll guide learners through apprenticeships and adult education, using your industry expertise to bring lessons to life.
Key Responsibilities:
  * 
    Deliver high-quality teaching across a range of Motor Vehicle courses, including light vehicle maintenance, diagnostics and repair.
  * 
    Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with awarding body requirements.
  * 
    Support, guide and motivate learners to achieve their full potential.
  * 
    Maintain accurate learner records, assessments and internal quality documentation.
  * 
    Keep up to date with industry standards, technologies and best practice.
  * 
    Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.
About You:
  * 
    Qualified to Level 3 (or higher) in Motor Vehicle / Automotive Engineering.
  * 
    Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one (PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent).
  * 
    Strong industry experience in vehicle maintenance and diagnostics.
  * 
    Ability to engage and inspire learners of all abilities.
  * 
    Good organisational and communication skills.
