We are seeking a motivated LED Design Engineer to join our expanding technical team. This is a brand-new position designed to support growing demand for intelligent, bespoke lighting design across our commercial LED projects.
You'll play a vital role in shaping our LED design capability-balancing hands-on site assessments with detailed CAD work and client-focused technical solutions. If you're excited by the opportunity to influence design from concept through to delivery, we want to hear from you.

The Role:
As an LED Design Engineer, you will work alongside project managers and technical specialists to deliver safe, effective, and energy-efficient lighting systems tailored to each client's needs. Your time will be split between on-site technical surveys and office-based design using AutoCAD and related software.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct technical site surveys across the UK (approx. 50% of your time)
Create and modify lighting layouts using AutoCAD or equivalent tools
Translate client needs into tailored lighting solutions
Produce installation schematics and technical documentation
Select energy-efficient equipment and ensure regulatory compliance
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
Stay updated with wiring regulations and lighting standards
Occasionally stay overnight depending on project location and schedule
Key Qualifications:
Whether you're a seasoned installer looking to move into design or a graduate ready to begin your journey, we're open to diverse backgrounds.
Essential:
Understanding of lighting design and principles
CAD experience (AutoCAD, Revit or similar)
Knowledge of BS 7671 (17th/18th Edition Wiring Regs)
Previous experience designing or installing LED lighting systems
Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel
Desirable:
AM2 qualification
Familiarity with Dialux, Relux or lighting simulation tools
Understanding of sustainable, low-carbon design
