GMP Recruitment are proud to be in partnership with a long-established, highly reputable law firm based in Worcester. We are currently recruiting on their behalf for a Legal Secretary/Assistant to join their Residential Property team on a full-time, permanent contract. Our client, is one of Worcester’s leading legal practices with a strong reputation for delivering first-class legal services across a range of departments. Due to an increase in caseloads and continued growth within the business, they are looking for an organised and proactive Legal Secretary/Assistant to support the Head of Department and wider team. This position is working Monday – Friday 09:00am – 17:00pm offering a salary of up to £25,000. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced legal secretary or administrator to join a highly regarded firm and play a key role in a fast-paced, friendly team. Legal Secretary/Assistant main duties: * Provide day-to-day secretarial and administrative support to the Head of Residential Property and department fee earners * Manage the opening, closing, and archiving of files in accordance with firm procedures * Draft and prepare correspondence, legal documents, and forms * Liaise with clients, estate agents, and solicitors in a professional and efficient manner * Manage diaries, book appointments, and assist with general case management * Carry out post-completion work including SDLT submissions, Land Registry applications, and billing * Ensure all work is completed accurately, on time, and in line with regulatory compliance * Handle telephone calls and email queries confidently and sensitively Legal Secretary / Assistant desired skills and experience: * Previous legal secretarial or administrative experience within a law firm (ideally within conveyancing or property) * Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with case management systems * Able to prioritise and manage workloads independently * A professional, positive, and team-focused attitude An immediate start is available for the successful candidate.
