We are working on behalf of one of our clients to recruit a motivated and detail-focused Legal Cashier to join their Accounts department. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the firm’s financial processes, maintaining accurate client and office records, and ensuring a high standard of administrative organisation throughout the business.
Responsibilities:
Set up new matters on Proclaim, ensuring all client and case details are entered accurately to support smooth file progression.
Process and input invoices into the system, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely updating of financial records.
Maintain oversight of client balances by regularly checking figures on Proclaim and flagging any discrepancies or issues promptly.
Prepare and raise additional invoices where required, ensuring all charges are correctly calculated before sending them to clients or fee earners.
Send payment reminder texts to clients in a professional and courteous manner, helping to maintain positive relationships while supporting debt recovery.
Print, prepare, and review account ledgers in readiness for file closure, ensuring records are complete and compliant.
Archive both digital and physical files, following established procedures to ensure secure, organised, and compliant storage of client documentation.Requirements:
Previous experience in legal administration
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial information
Good working knowledge of IT systems; Proclaim experience is advantageous
Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise tasks effectively
Reliable, organised, and able to work well as part of a team
