Axon Moore is delighted to be partnering with a fantastic business in Central Manchester to recruit a Legal Cashier into the team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and respected legal practice that prides itself on professionalism, integrity, and delivering an exceptional service to its clients. The successful candidate will become a key part of a collaborative finance team, contributing to the smooth running of the firm’s financial operations while ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Whether you're already experienced in legal cashiering, or you come from an AP background with SRA knowledge, this could be a great next step.

Salary: £28,000 – £32,000
Location: Central Manchester + hybrid working
Key Responsibilities
Ensure a robust, accurate, and compliant cashiering function by managing all payments and receipts.
Monitor daily bank balances and ensure full compliance with the SRA Client Money Rules.
Improve and streamline banking and cashiering processes, embedding effective financial controls.
Produce timely and accurate bank reconciliations, reports, and ad hoc financial information.
Support other finance functions as required, including Accounts Payable and Credit Control.
Carry out additional tasks and projects as directed by the Finance Manager or Finance Director, ensuring high standards and timely completion.
Individual specification:
Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills; thrives under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
Previous experience in a legal cashiering or similar finance role, ideally within a legal practice.
Strong knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules is highly desirable.
Experience with legal finance systems: 3E is advantageous but not essential.
A relevant qualification such as the ILFM Diploma is advantageous though not requiredBefore You Apply
