Job Description
An established and highly regarded law firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, practical legal services is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join their team. The firm operates across multiple offices and is consistently recognised for its commitment to excellence and client service.
Role Description
We are recruiting for an experienced Legal Cashier to oversee financial transactions, banking, and client payments while ensuring strict compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules. Working in a busy office environment, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintaining office and client ledgers
Reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies
Collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate financial information
Processing transactions, including receipts and payments (bank transfers, cheques, etc.)
Producing weekly and monthly financial reports
Invoicing clients for services rendered and managing overdue payments
Processing purchase ledger invoices
Checking completion packs
Person Specification:
Previous experience as a Legal Cashier is essential
Strong knowledge of Solicitor's Accounts Rules
Proficient in Excel
What's on Offer:
Competitive salary, dependent on experience (£25,000 to £28,000)
21 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time employees)
