Job Description

A growing law firm in Bromley is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join their Accounts team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong law firm finance experience to take responsibility for managing day-to-day client and office accounts while ensuring full compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules. You will be a key part of a friendly and professional finance team, ensuring that the firm’s financial transactions are handled efficiently, accurately, and in line with regulatory requirements. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys variety, attention to detail, and working closely with colleagues across the firm. Key Responsibilities: • Accurately process daily financial transactions for client and office accounts • Maintain and reconcile client ledgers and office accounts • Perform regular bank reconciliations and monitor residual client balances • Assist with billing, invoicing, and tracking of client funds • Ensure compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and other relevant regulations • Support the Accounts/Finance team in producing reports for management and regulatory purposes • Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and internal controls • Respond to queries from solicitors, partners, and clients regarding financial matters • Assist with year-end and audit preparations as required Candidate Requirements: • Proven experience as a Legal Cashier or in a similar law firm finance role • Strong knowledge and practical application of SRA Accounts Rules • Experience in bank reconciliations, billing, invoicing, and client accounts management • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy • Good IT skills and experience with legal finance software • Understanding of VAT as it applies to legal practices • Awareness of Anti-Money Laundering regulations • Strong organisational and communication skills • Ability to work independently while also being a supportive team player Why Join? • Be part of a growing, dynamic law firm with a supportive culture • Hybrid working available for a better work-life balance • Opportunity to develop your career within a professional and collaborative finance team • Work closely with partners and management, gaining exposure to the full financial operations of a law firm Should you have any questions or wish to apply please do not hesitate to contact Clear Legal Recruitment Limited.
