A Birmingham-based legal company that has been offering expertise since the 1930’s is looking for a Legal Secretary to join the team.

As Legal Secretary, you will:
Provide full secretarial support to fee earners, including diary management, document preparation, and client liaison.
Dictation typing and preparing correspondence, documents, and forms.
Assist in the administration of wills, probate, and trusts, ensuring compliance with legal processes.
Manage correspondence, filing, and maintaining client records.
Handle telephone and email inquiries from clients and external parties.
We’re looking for a Legal Secretary with:
Proven experience in the role within a Private Client department. (Important to have worked in Private Client department, previously)
Excellent typing skills, able to quickly and accurately process legal documents, including correspondence and bills, from manuscript or digital dictation, with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize a busy workload.
Experience of Tikit (or similar case management system) and BigHand dictation would be advantageous but not essential.
Good telephone manner; able to take messages from new and existing clients on the telephone with accuracy and pass on in a timely manner.
Excellent IT skills with the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
Your standard working hours will be Monday-Friday, 09:15-15:15 (35 hours per week, office based). In return, you will receive a salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum.
