GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a successful, growing, and leading regional law firm and we are currently supporting their recruitment Legal Secretary/Paralegal to provide administrative and secretarial support to a Partner within their department, located at their firm in Cheltenham.
This position is office based role working Monday – Friday 09:00am – 17:00pm offering a starting salary of £28,000 per annum.
The successful applicant will be required to liaise directly with clients, have excellent interpersonal skills and provide the highest standard of client care. You must be able to demonstrate experience in a similar secretarial or legal secretarial position with excellent typing abilities.

Legal Secretary/Paralegal main duties:
* Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
* Manage case files, discovery materials, and confidential records (digital and physical).
* Conduct legal research and summarize case law, statutes, and regulations.
* Prepare and file court documents, motions, and forms (electronically or in person).
* Maintain attorney calendars, deadlines, and docket systems.
* Assist in trial preparation, including exhibits, witness coordination, and trial binders.
* Communicate with clients, schedule meetings, and handle intake documentation.
* Coordinate with courts, vendors, and external parties (e.g., investigators, expert witnesses).
* Monitor statutes of limitations and compliance deadlines.
* Provide general administrative support, including billing, mail, and office organization.
Legal Secretary/Paralegal desired skills and experience:
* Previous experience in a legal secretary or paralegal role is essential.
* Expereince working in a legal practise, for at least 18 months.
* Accuracy and great attention to detail
* You will be organised and self-sufficient whilst being able to show initiative and a proactive attitude where needed.
* Proficient in all aspects of information and communications technology, you will be committed to client service and delivering high quality work
* Fast and accurate audio typing and audio dictation skills
* Excellent communication skills with a good telephone manner and client care expertise are essential
* Diary management and the ability to deliver great work in a demanding and fast paced office environment
