Our client is seeking a professional and organised Legal Secretary to join their Canterbury office. This dual role offers a unique opportunity to support both front-of-house operations and the Family & Childcare legal team in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Secretary Duties (50%):
* Provide secretarial support including digital dictation, document management, and diary coordination.
* Handle client and third-party communications professionally.
* Assist with legal aid applications and case-related financial documentation.
* Maintain compliance with internal procedures and support general legal admin tasks.
Reception Duties (50%):
* Welcome clients and visitors with professionalism and warmth.
* Maintain a tidy reception area and direct enquiries appropriately.
* Support overflow calls and collaborate with the wider admin team.
Person Specification:
* Previous experience as a legal secretary or administrative assistant is essential.
* Interest or experience in Family & Childcare Law preferred.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Fast and accurate typing with excellent attention to detail.
* Proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach.
