Job Title: Legionella Risk Assessor Location: London (Hackney) Salary: £35K-£40K DOE + Overtime Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week Company Overview A well-established compliance consultancy with multiple offices across the UK, this organisation has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality air, water, and environmental risk management services. Following sustained growth, recent contract wins, and continued business expansion, the company is seeking an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join its professional team. Role Overview The Legionella Risk Assessor will be responsible for delivering accurate, compliant, and professional water hygiene risk assessment services to clients across a variety of sites. Responsibilities include: Conducting Legionella risk assessments on hot and cold water systems in line with current legislation and guidance (e.g. ACOP L8, HSG274). Inspecting water systems including tanks, pipework, outlets, and associated assets. Identifying potential risks and recommending appropriate control measures and remedial actions. Producing clear, detailed, and accurate risk assessment reports and supporting documentation. Collecting and analysing water samples where required. Maintaining compliance with internal quality management systems and industry standards. Communicating findings and best practice advice clearly to clients. Representing the company professionally on-site and during client interactions. Ensuring all work is carried out safely, with consideration for site-specific risks and stakeholders. Undertaking additional duties as required by management. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will possess: Proven experience carrying out Legionella risk assessments within a water hygiene or compliance environment. Strong knowledge of current legislation and guidance relating to Legionella control (ACOP L8, HSG274). Relevant qualification such as City & Guilds Legionella Risk Assessment (or equivalent)   Experience working across a range of site types and sectors. Full UK driving licence. Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly and professionally. Ability to work independently, demonstrating strong organisational and problem-solving skills. IT literacy, including experience using reporting software or handheld devices (desirable). A professional, detail-oriented, and client-focused approach. Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required.
