Legionella Risk Assessor – North UK
We are seeking an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join a growing specialist team delivering compliance and safety services across commercial, industrial, and domestic sites. This is a permanent opportunity offering excellent progression, a supportive team environment, and the chance to take real ownership of your work.
As a Legionella Risk Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting detailed risk assessments across a variety of water systems, ensuring compliance with ACoP L8, HSG274, and BS8580-01:2019 standards. You’ll prepare clear, accurate reports, create schematic drawings, and provide expert advice on remedial actions.
The role will involve a mix of site work and remote working – typically 3–4 days on client sites and 1–2 days working from home preparing write-ups. Flexibility is key, as occasional overnight stays (2–3 nights per month) may be required. A full UK driving licence is essential, and a company vehicle (electric or combustion) is provided with charging support or fuel card.
What we’re looking for:
* Proven background as a Legionella Risk Assessor.
* Strong understanding of ACoP L8, HSG274 and BS8580-01:2019.
* Recognised plumbing qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds) are desirable.
* Confident using Visio or similar for schematic drawings.
* Ability to work independently and manage your own diary effectively.

* Salary up to £35,000 + overtime (time and a half outside core hours).

* 30 minutes’ paid travel each way.
