Career Development Opportunities.About our Client and the role of Lending Director - Development Finance:
Our client is looking for a highly capable and motivated individual to join their development finance team as a Lending Director. The successful individual will join a well-established specialist lender where they will be responsible for originating development finance facilities as well as managing the portfolio of loans they originate.
This role would suit a high-performing individual with previous development finance experience in either a bank or a non-bank lending business.
Responsibilities for the role of Lending Director - Development Finance:
Generating new development finance opportunities by building new relationships and managing existing relationships with developers, broker/intermediaries and property professionals.
Originating and structuring development finance opportunities that you will generate.
Managing the underwriting and credit process of completing new development finance opportunities.
Managing the drawdowns and redemptions of the facilities originated, ensuring that the portfolio of loans is consistently performing.
Responsibility to grow out or manage a team to assist in hitting proposed origination targets and effectively managing the portfolio of loans.
This list is not exhaustive and duties are liable to change from time to time in line with the needs of the department.Experience required for the role of Lending Director - Development Finance:
Strong established track record of originating development finance opportunities and managing a portfolio of loans.
Great communication skills essential for dealing with borrowers and brokers/intermediaries.
Experience presenting credit papers to the credit committee and senior management.
Knowledge in reviewing development appraisals and structuring development finance
Knowledge of the credit underwriting process including the legal process, reviewing valuation and monitoring surveyor reports.
