As a Level 1 Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils with a variety of additional needs, including autism (ASC), moderate learning difficulties (MLD), speech and language needs, and social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. Working closely with experienced teachers and support staff, you'll help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where every learner feels valued and encouraged.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Providing classroom and small-group support under the guidance of the class teacher
Assisting pupils with their learning, communication, and social skills
Supporting with daily routines, sensory activities, and emotional regulation
Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive relationships among pupils
What we're looking for:
Enthusiastic, caring individuals with a genuine interest in SEN education
Experience working with children or young people (school or voluntary experience is a plus)
